Policy Statement
Valens Construction believes that health & safety is top priority of our company, the health and safety at work Act 1974, this applies for all employees, contractors and members of the public who may be affected by the activities of the company. We ensure that responsibilities for health & safety are properly assigned, accepted and fulfilled at all levels of our company and that all practicable steps are taken to safeguard the health & safety of all employees, sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to the premises or operations under our control.
Valens Construction will endeavour to ensure that all operations and activities are undertaken in accordance with current health and safety legislation and relevant codes of practice.
- Provision of safe working environment by the design, construction, operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and facilities.
- Provide reasonable welfare facilities to all our employees, sub-contractors & supplier.
- Adequate instruction, information, training and supervision.
- Control of all situations likely to cause damage premises and equipment’s. Identify any hazards, assess risks to eliminate or reduce level of risk to avoid any incident.
- Effective procedures and facilities for reporting and treatment of injuries that occur at work. [RIDDOR]
- Effective fire prevention, fire plan and fire procedures will be followed at every stage.
- Adequate facilities for consultation between management. Employees, sub-contractors or their representatives, as prescribed under the safety representatives and safety committees Regulations 1977 amended by The Management of Health and Safety at work Regulations 1999.
- To take reasonable steps for Health and safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their act or omissions at work.
Valens Construction Ensure that this policy statement and all supporting documentation are regularly reviewed in the light of changes in operational and statutory requirements.
The overall responsibility for Health & safety of the company and its personnel is vested in director.
